I remember a time when sunglasses weren't really an item I would actively go out shopping for. For a time, I had only owned one pair and used that pair religiously for every occasion because they matched with everything. Now? I can't get enough of sunglasses, specifically the ones listed below.

Quay x Desi Perkins T.Y.S.M. | These are probably the sunglasses I get the most questions on when I wear them. These glasses are so unique, to the point where I don't feel like I can wear them with EVERY outfit... but when I do, they definitely stand out. I like wearing them most with a red or orange lip like how I did in the above picture (... and kind of like how Desi Perkins wore it in the promotion picture for them here). Unfortunately, these sunglasses aren't available any more.

Quay x Desi Perkins High Key Black Fades | Without a doubt, my favorite pair of sunglasses. Unlike T.Y.S.M., I can honestly wear these sunglasses with anything. These are the sunglasses I keep in my bag always. I have never owned a pair of sunglasses with a faded design this distinct. You can buy them here.

ASOS DESIGN small cat eye fashion glasses | These are the kind of sunglasses you wear more for "fashion" purposes and not for actually blocking your eyes from the sun. They look WAY cooler when you wear them slightly tilted down on your nose bridge. You can buy them here.

Forever 21 Half Frame Sunglasses (shown in the first picture at the top) | One of my go-to sunglasses when I just need to throw something one without thinking. They are nice, black, and simple. They aren't the best quality, but they've lasted me for over 3 years now. Unfortunately, these sunglasses aren't available any more.

What pair of sunglasses do you guys always keep with you?

  • My Review:
As I stated above, I love this palette, but let me go a little into more detail. ABH Modern Renaissance is one is my favorite eyeshadow palettes of all time. I find the formula to be one of my favorites, as far as eyeshadows go. The UD Born To Run eye shadows, remind me sooooo much of the formula for Modern Renaissance. The shadows blend so smoothly together. It feels like velvet. I find that the shimmer shades are so strong, you don't really need to wet them either.

With all that being said, I have one problem with this palette... the black shade "Jet." I tried using this shade with a look, and I couldn't for the life of me get it to show up as pigmented as I wanted. I kept layering and layering it, and it still wasn't doing the job. It just wasn't "sticking." Then I decided to experiment and see how it would apply on my eye just by itself. It showed up MUCH better. But... what's the point of having a shade that doesn't work well with the other eye shadows in the same palette? Furthermore, I tend to do a lot of "patting" motions when doing eye shadow, but for this shade in particular, I found that it's better to using "swiping" motions.

I experienced no other issues with any of the other shades. All of them, minus "Jet," applied just fine. But the shades that I feel definitely are the "stars" in this palette are:

  • STRANDED
  • BLAZE
  • RIFF
  • BAJA
  • IGNITE
  • WANDERLUST
  • DOUBLE LIFE
  • RADIO
  • BIG SKY

  • Do you buy the new Urban Decay Born To Run Palette? What shades were you drawn to the most?
There was a good period of time where I walked into stores and absolutely nothing would catch my eye. I turned to online shopping and... same deal. While it may have kept my wallet happy, the fact that I would go to stores excited to find something, only to find nothing left me feeling so underwhelmed. But now, as there have been so many new releases recently, I can finally show you all some of the things that have peaked my interest!

Of course, I have to dedicate an entire space to Zara, haha:

1// Nike Air Huarache in Blue Jay/White/Hyper Violet/Black 2// Forever 21 Colorblocked Crossbody Bag 3// Shop Matte Siren Dress Shirt and Skirt 4// Forever 21 Cropped Denim Jacket

And that's it! I already plan on making an order to get some things soon. But for other items... I think I'll wait to see if they get any cheaper. What's in your shopping cart?
