Helluva Haul + Review!

I've accumulated quite a bit of stuff that I have yet to talk about on this blog, and some of them are repurchases that I love and needed to restock on. I've tried everything I'm hauling, so today's post is not just a haul, it's a review too!

There's only one thing I have a bad review of and will likely not being using again, and that's the Hard Candy Sheer Envy Perfecting Primer. I used this primer countless of times, and for me, it did nothing. I don't really have a problem with how long my makeup wears throughout the day (even without primer). When I put on primer, I'm usually looking for how it makes my makeup look overall, and this was a fail. I felt like it made makeup look cakey. Not only that, but it made my face felt like I had applied Vaseline over it. It made my face feel so heavy. Do. Not. Recommend.

Now that we've got that one baddie out the way, let's get to the good stuff!

Covergirl tru Naked Roses Palette - This palette was such a pleasant surprise. I saw swatches of it online, and they seemed so pigmented. But just because something swatches nice, doesn't mean it will blend well or wear well on your eyes. YOU MUST WEAR THIS WITH A PRIMER. If you don't, these shadows will fall right off the lid throughout the day. Another thing I recommend is that you apply it straight on to the eye primer while it's tacky instead of setting the primer with powder. I did a review on this palette a while back. Check it out here.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lips - These came in my first order from Colourpop and I am so impressed! Some people have said that these are a bit drying or that they emphasize lines in their lips. I don't have that problem. I think they are just a drying and any other liquid lipstick. As far as emphasizing lines or cracks in the lips, I feel like it does the opposite. I actually think it makes my lips look a little bit smoother once they are completely dry. I'll be writing a review, with swatches included, of this!

LA Splash Smitten Lip Tint in Lovegood (which they renamed Lovestruck) - I was in my Miami for the second time ever and I came across this store called Ricky's. I'm so glad I did because I saw so many brands that you usually can only order products online. LA Splash was one of those brands. I've always wanted to try one of their liquid lipsticks and I picked this color up after seeing swatches of it online. It's a pretty dark pinky, brown. It wasn't too drying either. Thumbs up.

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Highlighter - This highlighter is so intense and the shade of gold that it is, is remarkable. Definitely in my top 5 highlighters I've ever used, but not my number 1. I only say that because this powder is literally so soft, that I feel like throughout the day, it kind of falls of my cheeks. Does that make any sense, lol? I notice that with some of my highlighters I can rest my cheek in my palm, and still see the highlighter on my cheeks. But with Champagne Pop, I feel like it can wipe off easily compared to others. It's still a gorgeous highlight, but I would either avoid touching your face or applying a cream or liquid highlighter before, as a base.

Nivea Men's Post Shave Balm Sensitive - NikkieTutorials really put this product on the map and I have to say, the hype is real! This makes my makeup not only go on smooth, but look just as smooth as it did the moment I applied it as it wears throughout the day.

MAC Paint Pot in Stormy Pink - This is the first paint pot I've ever purchased from MAC. I looked online at swatches for them and I didn't want to get a skin toned one, and this one caught my eye. It's a purpley-gray color with a pink undertone. The name "stormy pink" describes it perfectly. It can be a bit stiff, but I just go at it with a blow dryer to warm the product up a little bit. I love pairing this with the shadows in the Covergirl truNaked Roses eye shadow palette.

L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Glistening Garnet - I've said time and time again that the shade "Amber Rush" in this range is by far my most favorite eye shadow in the drugstore. So I had to buy another color to see if the rest are as pigmented as that shade and Glistening Garnet definitely lives up to it. This color is gorgeous! I love the warm, brassy undertone of this shade as well.

Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Highlighter Stick in Sparkling Sand - It's a bit stiff, and by that I mean that, I mean that I wish it was creamier. But it really gives my powder highlighters something to stick to. I noticed an immediate difference between putting just powder highlighter on and putting a powder highlighter on top of a cream highlighter. It's so much more intense!

Ardell Demi Wispies - Good news! I finally am able to apply false lashes properly without taking half an hour to do so and these lashes are bomb!

e.l.f. Expert Liquid Liner in Jet Black- This honestly makes me not want to ever want to buy another liquid liner over $5 ever again. This is so black, small, and so easy to use!

Too Faced Love Flush Palette - I've never been much of a blush person. I'm more of a bronzer person. That is my justification for buying this palette. I wanted to get into blush, so I figured why not buy a palette. And I love it! I'll be writing a review for this soon, with swatches.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer - Blends like a dream! I kind of wish they had a better shade range, but it's still one of my favorite concealers I've ever used.

e.l.f. Slant Tweezer - As I said before, I finally figured out how to put on false lashes properly, and these helped so much! And it was so cheap. This'll also help me pluck the stray brow hairs I have.

e.l.f. Brow Comb & Brush - I purchased this because the one I had previously broke. It puts my brows in place with just one stroke. It's cheap. It works. Thumbs up.

Maybelline FaceStudio Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Loose Powder - To be honest... I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about this. It definitely didn't wow me in the beginning, but it's not the worst thing I have ever tried. I will have to test it out a few more time, but from what I can say right now, I wouldn't recommend this for the baking technique. I try to keep you guys updated on it, though.

Maybelline Face Studio Master Fix Setting Spray - Love this stuff! I like this as a finishing spray more than MAC's Fix+ spray. I've tried the L'Oreal setting spray too and they are practically the same product, with the same ingredients as well. The Maybelline one is slightly cheaper though, so I would recommend getting this one unless you have some sort of coupon for the L'Oreal setting spray.

Nuxe Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm Rêve de Miel - This has been a life saver for my lips. This has kind of become sort of a cult beauty product for beauty enthusiasts for years. I've been putting off getting it because of the price tag, but my lips needed saving. And boy, have they been saved!

Lastly, here are some repurchases of things that I love!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE MASCARA OF ALL TIME. Over the years, I have gone through so many mascaras looking for "the one." A lot of them were good, some were okay. But this one is the best one I have ever tried in my life! This is my second tube and I will forever keep repurchasing this!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes - I CANNOT live without this shade. This is probably fourth bottle of this color. I wear this as an everyday lip shade and line it with a brown lip liner (NYX's Toast lip liner, to be specific). I can't get enough of it and even though I have so many shades in this range, this is the one I wear the most and keep repurchasing.

e.l.f. High Definition Undereye Setting Powder - Despite loving this product and how it makes my under eye look after setting concealer, I would change two things. Firstly, I would take out the shimmer in it. I know what you're thinking, shimmer for setting the under eye!?!? Trust me, it's not that noticeable and with the right brush, you can easily flick it off. But it would be so much easier if e.l.f. would just remove the shimmer. Come on e.l.f., get it together. Secondly, I would put this in a big tub. Because this is such a small container, it can be a mess sometimes. But it makes my under eye area look soooooo smooth. I'd say it's worth the hassle if you don't feel like spending a crazy amount of money on an under eye setting powder.

LA Girl Pro Concealers - I've used this for a long time in the shade "Cool Tan" for face blemishes, but I wanted shades for contouring, color correcting, and contour. These stay put on your face really well, especially after setting them with a powder.
